We visited Macadam’s Bar and Grill using a living social coupon we purchased recently.
The coupon was $12 for $25 worth of food. Pretty sweet deal, thought we would try it out.
Located off Macadam avenue along the waterfront in SW Portland, Macadam’s is a neighborhood restaurant and bar. The space is somewhat large and is sectioned up into multiple rooms with TV’s everywhere and a giant projector screen with surround sound. Macadam’s is a popular place to watch Portland Timber’s games and Blazer games with a lengthy happy hour menu and $2 beer special during games. Big cushy booths border the rooms along with tables that are comfortable to sit, kick back and watch games open for ALL AGES not just 21+. Excellent layout and casual atmosphere. Their outdoor patio looks great for a TGIFriday kind of night with friends in the summer.
What we Ordered:
Beer Battered Onion rings for appetizer
“Special of the Day” which was creamy penne pasta with chicken & mushrooms. Mine arrived with no chicken :( sad face
Ruben Sandwich which was made with in-house smoked meat. You could really taste the rich smokey flavor, always a plus when there is handcrafted meats.
The food wasn’t anything special, but their Happy Hour menu is lengthy so I’m definitely coming back to take advantage of that. Their on-tap beer list is decent, but not extensive. Our service was spot on from our waitress, I never once had to ask for beverage refills she was really on top of it and was extremely nice throughout our meal. Overall had a good experience at Macadam’s Bar and Grill. I was a little disappointed that my chicken pasta showed up with NO chicken, but everything else was great so I didn’t’ make a fuss.
If you’re looking for a comfortable place to watch sports, Macadam’s is it!
