Jade Bistro is my favorite place in 2013 I have visited so far. I was not prepared for the explosion of flavor and authenticity of their cuisine. I’ve heard rumors that this little spot was something amazing and a must try. I went there with a good friend on a rainy Portland afternoon. I’m so happy I arrived starving because we ate A LOT! Jade Bistro’s Vietnamese menu has a unique influence of Thai, Laotian and French Cuisine. This mother daughter team is very passionate about their culture and that is reflected in their quality of food and tea served at Jade.
When arriving at Jade there are a few signs to help you with your visit. You’ll order first, find a place to sit, then indulge. When you walk in you’ll find tha
t the decor welcomes you with an Asian feel. It’s typically pretty busy and lunch and dinner service you may find yourself having to wait a few minutes before ordering. Don’t fret though the line moves quick you won’t wait long. They also have many low-carb, gluten free, vegan and vegetarians options. You can visit Jade’s website (located at the bottom of this post) for their food and tea menus.
Everything we ordered was amazing and delicious. Everything was flavored and seasoned perfectly. The desserts were out of this world. I only wished I would have ordered tea.
