This was our second stop on the Dishcrawl. Read about our first stop {HERE}. I was super excited to try this place because I love me some cajun food. The concept of Tapalaya is really cool small plates of delicious Cajun creole food. Everything from Tapalaya is made from scratch daily providing you with highest quality cuisine. Some of Tapalayas most popular dishes include Po Boys, Corn Bread, Jambalaya, Collard Greens, and N’awlins BBQ Shrimp. If you happen to dine on a Tuesday or Thursday during Happy Hour (6-9pm) you’ll also get to enjoy a live traditional New Orleans band.

Tapalaya gladly accepts reservation and can accommodate groups small or large. They also have many vegan and vegetarian options so don’t worry you non-meat eaters. You can still enjoy some delicious N’awlins style food. Every year Tapayala throws a traditional Mardi Gras celebration. If you missed this year don’t worry there is still next year.

This is one of my new favorite restaurants! I love places with a lot of flavor and a lot of pizzazz and this is exactly what Tapalaya is! Here is what Tapalaya’s chef prepared for this Dishcrawl event.

I also ordered a cocktail to enhance my meal. The Down River drop to be exact. Ohh and it was delish!

I highly recommend Tapalaya. This was my favorite stop on the crawl. Everything was flavored perfectly and every bite was perfection. We had the pleasure of meeting Head Chef and Owner. Who were both lovely and their passion is definitely reflected through their food.

4fork I gave Tapalaya 4 forks because the food was out of this world. Filled with so much flavor and love. I’m looking forward to coming back and eating a full meal and trying some yummy beignets.

Side Notes:
Free and legal parking in the Whole Foods parking lot or you can park on the street
Small Plates but Big Flavor
Reasonably priced
