Retrolicious is a unique food cart located in the food cart pod on 23rd & Alberta. They’re all about the Classics. You know Chicken & Waffles, Meatloaf, Mac & Cheese, and BLT’s. They make everything fresh and from scratch. The cart will be pretty hard to miss especially since its bright pink! Kimmy is one of the owners and one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. Her passion is reflected in her cooking. Its straight love in every bite. She truly cares about every customer that approaches her food cart! She is warm and bubbly and will keep you coming back for more. The day we checked her out all the food carts in this pod were recovering from a mass vandalism spree. Because of someone’s negligence this left Retrolicious with a very limited menu. They do make the same dishes frequently but their menu is always evolving and changing. But if you have something you tried last time and don’t see it on the menu. Just ask Kimmy might be able to throw it together for you!
I decided on the Mexican Chop Salad which was amazing. Everything was fresh and crisp. The perfect item to enjoy on a hot summer day. Retrolicious is going to be at the Portland Summer Food Cart Festival on Saturday June 22nd, 2013. Don’t miss them or us! We will also be there participating by sampling all the delicious dishes. We will be judging in the competition as well!
I gave Retrolicious four forks because Kimmy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. And her food is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!
