Lew’s Drive In is an icon in Milwaukie Oregon. Located right on Mcloughlin Blvd it’s location makes it easy for almost anyone to get to. Their decor has the classic diner/drive-in vibe. They’ve went through many owners over the years but I really love what the current owners have done with the place. The only thing about the decor that was a disappointment was they took the jukebox out! Now what’s a diner without a jukebox? Now I’ve been going to Lew’s for years and ate their often while I was going to beauty school. I haven’t been to Lew’s in years because I live pretty far away and don’t get to that side of town often. I knew exactly what I was having before I walked in the door. The classic coney dog. It’s what I used to always get and I really wanted to reminisce as I devoured my delicious dog.
Overall my experience at the newly renovated Lew’s was average. We went at lunch time in the middle of the week it really wasn’t too busy. There was only one waitress so service was a little slow. Luckily she was super sweet and did a wonderful job.
Here’s what we ordered:
Coney Island All-Beef Hot Dog
I gave Lew’s 2 forks because the service was a little slow and they have a little bit of work to do as a restaurant before everything runs more smoothly.
