Last week we were invited to enjoy happy hour and dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in downtown. You can read all about our happy hour experience {HERE}. I was a little hesitant going into our Ruth’s Chris experience. Besides being known as an “expensive place to eat” I did not know a whole lot about the restaurant or the company. While I correctly predicted the food would be of fine quality, since they are not exclusive to Portland I was expecting a very predictable or “run of the mill” experience. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and attention to detail in the food that was served to us. The staff at Ruth’s Chris is top notch. Everyone was extremely friendly and so happy to have us dining in their establishment. If you’ve read my review before you know I really appreciate someone who is happy and grateful they’re receiving my business. I actually have only experienced service like this a few times in my life. You could tell that each person was passionate about the food they were serving and truly cared about your experience at Ruth’s Chris. Ruth’s is the perfect place to take your special someone for a romantic evening.
Each table is spaced far enough away from another so you don’t feel like you could reach over and take a bite off your neighbors plate. The whole dinner experience at Ruth’s Chris is wonderful from start to finish. They make sure to highlight their chef’s feature menu which changes quarterly. Your server gives you all the information you need to know about ordering your food and steak without being an annoyance. On this night they were also training new staff to prepare for their busy season and that did not take away from the experience what so ever.

All the food was truly stellar. Everything was so delicious and seasoned perfectly. Our steaks were both cooked to perfection and so tender and juicy. We enjoyed a glass of red wine recommended to us by our server. I accidentally forgot to write the name of it down. By looking at their wine listed on their website I’m almost positive it was The Prisoner red blend. It was delicious paired with our juicy steaks. Obviously we could not eat all this food and in case you’re wondering it tasted just as good the next day. Well does a midnight snack count as the next day?
