Ashley and I had a yummy evening planned at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse with starting off with their “Sizzle, Swizzle, Swirl”  Happy Hour in the bar and then we moved on with the full shebang dinner in their dining room where you can read Ashley’s review of our dinner {HERE}.

This is a newer location for Ruth’s Chris, but with this being our first time visiting so we didn’t know any different but it was very bright and open space. When I visualize a steakhouse I think of dark and dingy, but they had a great open space in the bar with tall floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light leaving you feeling energized and awake. Ruth’s Chris happy hour menu reflected energy with their spicy lobster served aside with a fresh lemon wrapped in yellow burlap for squeezing. I sipped on their blueberry mojito and Ashley tried their house glass of white wine. I was really impressed with the quality food items listed on the happy hour menu which are items that you can also find on their dinner menu all night long too. We tried their two most popular food menu items: The Spicy Lobster and Seared Ahi Tuna. The tuna was sushi grade tuna that was coated in a spicy rub that coated the outside that had great kick of flavor. I was also amazed at the amount of lobster we got in the happy hour portion for only $7, WOW what a steal. This was a nice change from the regular happy hour menu items at other restaurants which are usually ALL fried foods galore. I also like that they list the calories for each drink and menu item for those who are counting and trying to make a better choice, but if you are visiting a place like this I would say don’t skimp go for the gold and splurge on the calories. I definitely recommend happy hour at Ruth’s Chris for those who want a fancy bite on the town with a budget. Like I said you get the same items on the happy hour menu as you would on their regular dinner menu for only $7 so this is a great bargain with big flavor! The presentation alone is entertaining along with their light and wholesome flavors of the lobster and tuna.

Happy Hour is in the bar only Monday-Friday form 4:30pm-7pm with $7 menu items
Valet Parking available, other wise street parking only

4fork2 I gave Ruth’s Chris 4 forks for the quality you get for happy hour at their $7 price point. The only suggestion I have is there were too many blueberries/chunks in my mojito, it was kind of hard to suck up the liquid.
